Dr. Erik W. Klemetti
Hi folks! I'm an associate professor of Earth & Environmental Sciences and Journalism at Denison University. My research focusses on volcanoes and magma, although I have interests in geoarcheology and planetary geology as well. I also write a lot of science articles for the public, including my column Rocky Planet on Discover. Here at Denison, I teach a pile of classes including Rocks, Minerals & Soils, Geology of the Solar System, Science Writing for the Public, Petrology & Volcanology, Earth Resources and two flavors of introductory Earth Science (Planet Earth and Geoarcheology/Geomythology). All this variety betrays the fact that I love working at a liberal arts college. You can check out all the current and past research projects. You can also read my C.V. if you're curious. I'm always looking to talk about my work, so feel free to drop me a line if you're looking for seminar speakers, class lectures or podcast guests. |
